Course Description: The course aims to give an overview of the major trends in Spanish American literature from the time of discovery and conquest to the 20th century and to introduce students to the diverse literary forms of that tradition. Through a close reading of selected texts, we will focus on problems of literary analysis as well as on the development of Spanish American writing within its historical context
Course taught by Profesor Santiago Juan Navarro at Florida International University, where every week we had varous concepts and readings of various latin american important literature figures. we held weekly discussions, and small debates online and then we had to turn in a set of questions designated upon the reading of these things. We ended performing two papers and a big powerpoint presentation to deomstrate a concpet that we learned from them or from one that inspired us, based on this I chose Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz and I developed my Capstone presentation on this.
